Our Story

Winston-Manning Family History

Peter Winston, Julia Daniel Winston, Earvin Manning and Frances Robinson Manning are the roots of this family tree.  They are descendants of slaves in Mississippi. 

Peter and Julia were the parents of seven (7) girls: Carrie, Odean, Charity, Queen Ester, Della, Bessie and Estella; and three (3) boys: Jordan, David and Willie.

Earvin and Frances were the parents of six (6) girls: Sarah Love, Fannie, Hattie, Dilsi, Mollie and Minnie; and two (2) boys: Searcy and Howard.

Our four ancestors were God Fearing, God loving, resilient, strong willed people with great potential. With little material assets, they had deep spiritual faith, which made it possible for us, their branches and leaves to keep their trees growing and continue to enjoy the blessing of coming together in celebration of our family roots.
